Andrea LoPresti, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at MKF Counseling. I received both my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work from Hunter College in New York City.  I have practiced psychotherapy in a variety of hospital based, mental health agencies, and private practice settings throughout my professional career.   As a seasoned clinician, I have also provided mentorship and clinical supervision to LSW and LCSW social workers.  
I came to MKF Counseling with significant expertise in providing trauma informed and culturally competent therapy to individuals throughout their life span.  My treatment approach is influenced by psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and interpersonal treatment strategies.
I have proven success helping adults and older adults struggling to cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorders, and unresolved grief.  I bring a warm, supportive, strengths-based approach to my work in the belief that having someone to listen to you and clarify your conflicts can be transformative.
